MAJOR RENOVATION

Scandinavian Modern Interior

Our clients had been living in their home for many years with an unfinished basement, and were ready to finally put it together.  Owner sought-out HAUS | Architecture For Modern Lifestyles to help envision a Scandinavian Modern design solution, while WERK | Building Modern collaborated to help get field implementation into motion.

SCANDINAVIAN MODERN INTERIOR

WERK completed a new project in fall 2020 in the Trader’s Point area on Indy’s northwest side.

Our clients had been living in their home for many years with an unfinished basement, and were ready to put it together.  Owner worked with HAUS | Architecture For Modern Lifestyles on the design, and then we at WERK put things into motion.

Owner was interested in creating new lounge, full bathroom, home office, shoe wardrobe, and workout space.  Also Owner had recently remodeled their central stair, but Architect noticed that the new stair didn’t meet code.  In fact, this stair had very uneven riser heights and nosings, to the point of making it awkward to walk up and down that stairway.

The project evolved to include a new modern architectural stair to connect all three levels.  Also, the stair was to borrow light between levels.

We look forward to sharing finish photos as soon as possible.  Please check-back in the near future for updates on this project!
